Television and a man with traditional hanbok. What an odd combination! This picture was taken when the television was first introduced to the town named Tae An Myon. The elder's first impression of TV  was "It's a mysterious thing."

However, my first impression of TV was different. When I was born, our family already had color TV much bigger than the one in the picture. So, I have not thought that TV as a great invention. It wasn't a special technology for me. I wasn't curious about how the TV is created, but about what would be the story of the next episode of 'Pokemon.' In about 30 years, no one was surprised by Television anymore.

The newest technology: Galaxy Fold
Technology moves fast. Every year, thousands of new products with better functions and new technology come out to market. In the same time, people also adapt to the new technologies fast. What was called "New" a year ago is now called "obsolete."

Not just technology, things change so fast: lifestyle, communication, education, and whatnot. However, I'm not sure if the fast change is a good phenomenon. people have to hurry to follow the trend and to learn new things. Also, tradition no more exists because things change before it becomes a tradition.
What do you think? Do fast change benefits our society? I want to listen to your ideas!

  1. Great to see one student (so far) took the bait and posted this. The image says so much. Very personal and easy quick read (which is what the blog is for). Keep doing these. I enjoyed this one. Less is more sometimes. You wrote just enough.
